Impossible to install the replacement part with thehinge spring. Had to leave that out. It would be helpful if you published a how to installation video.

Not fit and took a lot of time to disassemble and reassemble

Two stars because it arrived fast. However, the part will not fit all KLF03BLUS kettles. I had to learn about the serial number suffix from a (friendly and attentive) customer support representative.
Apparently I have a KLF03BLUS with serial number ending in 5111 which is incompatible and sadly the right part is no longer available.

It was the wrong part. The website told me it was compatible with my kettle, but it was not. I have since ordered another part that I hope will work. Also there were no instructions for how to remove the lid to event get to the point of removing the broken part. I had to rely on a YouTube video. That is poor customer service.
